Training in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging [Computed Tomography]

Released for publication is the American College of Cardiology Foundation COCATS recommendations for "Training in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging [Computed Tomography]."

COCATS recommendations are intended to be used by those who supervise fellowship training programs in cardiovascular disease. It should be noted that these Guidelines for fellows in training are slightly different than the previously published guidelines for physicians currently in practice. In the introduction to the document, there is an explanation of why the difference between the two sets of recommended training. Matthew J. Budoff, MD, President of the SAIP, chaired the writing committee for this document. Zahi Fayad, PhD, Immediate Past President of the SAIP, served as the official SAIP representative on the writing committee. Also serving on the writing committee were Daniel S.
